Značilen skedenj ali 'pod' v Zgornji Savinjski dolini ima obe lici zidani, vmes pa lesen vložek. Spodaj so hlevi, zgoraj senik in shrambe za krmo. V tleh teh shramb so odprtine z loputami za direktno vmetavanje krme. Najpomembnejši element zidanega dela so opečne mreže, ki odpirajo odprtine, varujejo pred izpadanjem in direktnimi sončnimi žarki, pa še pred pogledi.

The typical barn in the upper Savinja Valley has both faces stone built, with a wooden insertion between. Beloware stables, above is a hayloft and fodder store. There are hatches in the floors of these stores with trapdoors for the direct distribution of feed. The most important element of the stone built part is the brickwork net, which ventilate the openings, protect against falling out and from direct sunlight,aswellasfromview.
